Fascinating people, each with their own Arizona.

Lisa Schnebly Heidinger's been collecting and sharing stories from around Arizona her entire career -- first in community newspaper, then radio, television, magazines, and then books. Now she gets to host people she admires and likes to talk about her beloved state.

Lisa Schnebly Heidinger sees Celebrating Arizona as a way for people who love and know the state to find stories they may have missed and hear descriptions and experiences in places they live reported by other visitors and residents.

Lisa Schnebly Heidinger loved knowing her great-grandpa T.C. Schnebly named a town after her great-grandma Sedona, possibly triggering a deep love of our state’s history.
As a cub reporter for the Green Valley News, an appearance on “Good Morning America” for Pima County Victim Witness led to television reporting (although the news director who hired her said, “I just gave a two-week notice, so you’ll be someone else’s problem”).
She moved into television, then in order to raise two children moved to print: Sunday op-ed, magazines, then books. She’s written an even dozen books, all about Arizona, and now hosts Celebrating Arizona's, the podcast that she sees as what the Arizona Highways magazine used to do: let people anywhere feel connected to Arizona.
Lisa has written twelve books that are published with one ready for publication and one in process -- this last one co-authored by her son Rye is exploring new realms in and beyond Arizona.
